“COPENHAGEN COWBOY”, IS AN EXTRAORDINARY JOURNEY TO THE UNDERGROUND WORLD OF CRIMINALS

“MIU” AN ANGEL OF LUCK

The Scandinavian-made dark series Copenhagen Cowboy has taken its place among Netflix‘s impressive and mysterious productions with its strong cinematography and extraordinary subject matter. Created by film producer Sara Isabella Jønsson Vedde, and Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn, known for productions such as Drive, Neon Demon, and Valhalla Rising, this series focuses on a feminine anti-hero blending neo-noir and crime. This mysterious character named Miu, who has supernatural powers, (was sold to bring luck to people throughout her life); is Dragged from a brothel run by an Albanian gangster to a restaurant that serves as a front for the Chinese mafia, she comes to terms with the dark and dangerous gangs of the criminal underworld.

The character of Miu, brings luck to people; In fact, as we step into the corrupt places of the underworld, we see that the life energy of those around them is consumed and they act as a kind of mechanism that fulfills justice. This character, who hardly speaks and remains calm in all circumstances, draws the profile of a mythological Goddess of Destiny. We see that every time he enters people’s lives, he actually determines their destiny. The leading role is the famous Danish actress Angela Bundalovic, who made a name for herself with the TV series The Rain. Stars; Andreas Lykke Jørgensen, Li Ii Zhang, Jason Hendil-Forssell, Hok Kit Cheng, Shang Preben Madsen, Fleur Frilund, Valentina Dejanovic, Maria Erwolter, Ramadan Huseini and Zlatko Buric.

BEHIND THE SCENES

-First work by Nicolas Winding Refn since Pusher III (2005) to star Zlatko Buric. It’s their fifth director-actor collaboration.

– Per Thiim Thim, portraying “Sven”, gained a lot of weight for his role, ending up at 112 kg (roughly 250 lbs). Subsequently, he transformed his body via intense diet and training – removing about 40-50 kg of fat, and gaining a lot of muscle.

-Per Thiim Thim was the first official Danish astronaut Candidate.
