Sivasspor beat Konyaspor 2-0, top Turkish Super Lig

ANKARA

Sivasspor defeated Konyaspor 2-0 on Saturday afternoon to dethrone Fenerbahce, top Turkish Super Lig with 21 points, with leaders Alanyaspor having a game at hand.

Sivasspor found the winning goals in the last 10 minutes, the match was at a stalemate until the 80th minute, when Emre Kilinc scored.

Hakan Arslan scored in the 89th minute for Sivasspor to give his team a comfortable 2-0 lead, assuring the win.

Sivasspor increased their points total to 21 and dethroned Fenerbahce to currently top Super Lig.

Alanyaspor will play against Trabzonspor in a tough matchup in Trabzon on Sunday afternoon to reclaim top spot.

Emre Demir becomes youngest to score in Super Lig

15-year-old Emre Demir, player of Kayserispor, has become the youngest to score in a Turkish Super Lig match.

Demir found the net against Genclerbirligi on Saturday afternoon, three minutes after being subbed in for Bernard Mensah in the 68th minute.

Born in January 15, 2004, Emre has become the youngest player to score a goal in Super Lig.

Emre is 15 years, 9 months and 25 days old.

Previously, Enes Unal scored against Galatasaray in a league match in 2013. Unal was then 16 years, 3 years and 17 days old.

Despite Emre’s goal, Genclerbirligi won the match 2-1 to get their second win in the league.
