Basketball: Mystics win first WNBA crown

ISTANBUL 

The Washington Mystics beat the Connecticut Sun 89-78, to earn their first ever WNBA championship on Thursday night.

In a winner-take-all Game 5 of the Finals, Emma Meesseman scored 22 points and Delle Donne scored 21, to help the Mystics beat the Connecticut Sun 89-78.

Meesseman was named Most Valuable Player of the WNBA Finals 2019.
