Turkey teaches drone technology to Balkan guests

ANKARA

Turkey’s state aid agency taught teachers and students from Balkan countries how to make drones.

Six teachers and 12 students learned to make and fly a drone at a training held in Turkey’s northwestern province of Edirne, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) said in a statement Friday.

The trainees were also taught aviation history of Turkey and rest of the world.

Trainees who completed theoretical and practical courses successfully were rewarded with a certificate.

They also visited many historic and tourist sites such as Teknofest Istanbul and Canakkale Martyrs’ Memorial.

The program was organized by Trakya University.
