RB Leipzig in Bundesliga and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in Ligue 1 continue to top their leagues as Sevilla became La Liga’s new leaders following the latest games over the weekend.
In Spanish football league La Liga, Sevilla beat Alaves in an away game 1-0 and gained top spot ahead of Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.
Atletico Madrid lost their first game in La Liga this season after they were beaten by Real Sociedad 2-0 in an away game.
Real Madrid defeated Levante 3-2 at home and the club’s new transfer Eden Hazard made his Real Madrid debut in this game.
Sevilla reached 10 points followed by Atletico Madrid with nine and Real Madrid eight.
Previous season’s champions Barcelona hammered Valencia 5-2 in Nou Camp to reach seven points.
In Germany’s Bundesliga, RB Leipzig remain top with 10 points after they drew 1-1 with reigning champions Bayern Munich at home.
Runners-up Borussia Dortmund thumped Bayer Leverkusen 4-0 at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday to jump to second place with nine points.
Reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) won their game 1-0 against Strasbourg to secure their top position in Ligue 1.
PSG’s forward Neymar’s late goal in the stoppage time brought victory to his team. The Brazilian star was booed by PSG supporters on his return match at Stade de France during the game.
Rennes drew with Brest 0-0 in an away game on Saturday.
Olympique Marseille moved into fourth place after they beat Monaco 4-3 at Stade Louis II.
PSG are at the top of the league with 12 points followed by Rennes, Nantes and Olympique Marseille with 10 points.
Runners-up Lille beat Angers 2-1 at home on Friday.
Lille also have nine points in Ligue 1.
