Turkish football club Trabzonspor’s Turkish star Abdulkadir Omur will be out for 4 to 6 months over a major knee injury on Thursday.
The club said on its website that Omur, 20, underwent a surgery in Germany and the player will be out for 4 to 6 months.
Turkish international midfielder Omur sustained the knee injury during his team’s UEFA Europa League match against Greece’s AEK Athens late August.
Omur comes from the Black Sea club’s youth setup.
He scored 10 goals and produced 18 assists in 77 appearances for Trabzonspor since April 2016.
Trabzonspor have been troubled by injuries this season as another player of this club, Caleb Ekuban, 25, will also be operated due to a foot fracture.
The Ghanaian forward faced a metatarsal fracture during Wednesday’s training session, said the club.
Former Leeds United striker Ekuban is a Trabzonspor regular, scoring five goals in seven appearances this season.
