ISTANBUL
Turkey’s flag carrier Turkish Airlines started to operate direct flights to two Vietnamese cities — the capital Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh — as of Wednesday.
The carrier’s flights to Ho Chi Minh will be operated on daily basis, while it will fly to the capital six days a week, except Sunday, said a statement by Turkish Airlines.
Previously, the airline operated connected flights to these two cities, according to the statement.
The statement noted that the airline is also planning to launch a flight to Hanoi on Sunday in April 2020.
Turkish Airlines, founded in 1933 with a five-aircraft fleet, currently has 343 aircraft, including passenger and cargo planes, and flies to 315 destinations worldwide in 126 countries.
